The room was awesome as was the view most staff were very friendly and accommodating. The pillows were way to soft, could have some normal tea bags and more than 3 in room instead of the fancy flavoured ones and not enough sugar sachets only had 2. Dined in the restaurant for dinner one waiter made a rude comment about my husband eating lobster also had breakfast there food was good but cold. We really liked how central it is to everything but for what we paid for 1 night was a bit over priced then when checking out the girl tried to charge us again for the room when we had already paid. Overall it wasn't a bad stay but I wouldn't stay there again.

Stayed one night, the room was good. Bed was a little soft? Ordered breakfast in the room at 6am as I had a trip booked. 6.20am still nothing. I cancelled the order. I found some of the staff were good and some avoided us. The meals we had were great down stairs, but one of the order was mixed up. To me it was not value for money $380 for a room. Best part is the park garage is 1.9m and my truck with roof racks didn't fit. But for $20 a day they could let you park out the front. So $40 extra. Location was great...

Everything about our stay here was perfect. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the pool and bar are perfect, the rooms clean, shower is big and the bed is very comfortable. My son used the gym which he enjoyed, the buffet breakfast is amazing, and the location is ideal. After checking out of our room, our departing flight was late in the evening and we were given a swipe card to use the swimming pool, shower and gym throughout the day- so useful and accommodating. Everything was perfect and made our holiday very happy.

Hotel staff were excellent and the rooms were amazing. We had 2 rooms on the same floor as the pool. Our teenage kids enjoyed having their own rooms (and queen beds) and we loved the king bed in our room, which was very comfortable. I can't fault the accommodation or the staff. We'd definitely stay there again. Call out to the poolside bar attendants - they were fantastic! Recommended "safe" drinks for the kids and made sure our cocktails were delicious.

WOW! Everything about our stay from the moment we were greeted, has been amazing. The staff were so welcoming & accommodating - the level of customer service was truly outstanding. The staff at all levels from Management to House Keeping went over & above in exceeding any expectations we may have had. Special mention also to the staff in the Horizon Club, always so friendly & no request was ever too much trouble. We have been made to feel nothing short of special our entire stay. Our room was absolutely gorgeous with beautiful views over the Marina. Thank you for making our first holiday post COVID, so perfect. Can't wait to book a return visit - Dominic & Jenni

We stayed in September 2020 for my birthday and it was absolutely amazing. Arrived to a cheese platter, bottle of wine and a birthday card all complimentary. Perfect location, friendly staff. Few little things here and therebut barely the hotels fault I mean it was mid covid. So thanks very much Shangri la for an amazing birthday holiday in an amazing location 👍🏼

Hotel absolutamente deslumbrante em uma bela localização. Tivemos alguns problemas de acessibilidade 3 dias antes da reserva para estar lá, (estávamos viajando com um grupo que tinha problemas de mobilidade) e a equipe incrível foi super prestativa e gentil, conseguimos resolver o problema rapidamente com alguns e-mails. Em qualquer outra ocasião em que falamos com o pessoal, eles foram sempre amigáveis e se ofereceram para nos apoiar em todos os sentidos.

Absolutely stunning hotel in a beautiful location. We had a few issues regarding accessibility 3 days before we were booked to be there, (we were travelling with a group that had mobility issues) and the amazing staff was super helpful and kind, we were able to fix the issue quickly with a few emails. Any other time we spoke to the staff they were always friendly and offering to support us in every way.

Somos habitantes locais e gostamos de conhecer os diferentes hotéis, pelo que os podemos recomendar aos amigos e familiares quando os visitarem. Definitivamente, eu recomendaria seu hotel. Limpo, confortável, tropical, ambiente à beira-mar, perto de restaurantes e da marina. Excelente.Uma sugestão é que achamos estranho não ter um ventilador na sala. Como gostávamos de ter a porta aberta com a brisa do mar, e um ventilador ajudaria na circulação do ar. Também o ar-condicionado, parecia-nos, fazia barulho no quarto. Parecia ressoar o tempo todo. Eu realmente percebia isso à noite, quando tudo ficava quieto.

Fiquei aqui 3 noites. Quarto era limpo, fresco, vistas e moderno. Localização muito boa. Meu café da manhã pré-pago foi uma decepção, só permitia uma escolha da lista. Ótima piscina, mas a administração precisa lidar com questões de segurança de acesso e saída para velhinhos ruins. Gostaria de ficar novamente, mas hesitar em ofertas de pequeno-almoço.

Clean and well appointed stay for two nights.It has a large hotel experience and not small if you are looking for the boutique feel.Proximity is close to the transfers and reef tour boats.The staff were courteous and I would recommend staying at this location.

I stayed here 3 nights. Room was clean, cool ,views and modern. Very good location. My prepaid breakfast was a disappointment only allowed one choice from list. Great swimming pool but management needs to address access and exit safety issues for bad knee oldies. I would stay again but balk at breakfast offers.

We are locals and like to try out the different hotels, so we can recommend them to friends and family when they visit. I would definitely recommend your hotel. Clean, comfortable, tropical, seaside ambience, close to restaurants and the marina. Excellent. One suggestion is that we found not having a fan in the room puzzling. As we liked having the door open with the sea breezes, and a fan would assist air circulation. Also the air-conditioning, it seemed to us, was loud in the room. It seemed to rumble all the time. I really noticed it at night when everything else went quiet.

A esposa gosta do cheiro. Pessoal muito bom. Quarto limpo. Não é perfeitamente mantido, mas não degradado. Lugar enorme com uma longa caminhada desde a entrada até os quartos com vista do cais. Não é um lugar que eu traria uma família para um feriado (não neste século, pelo menos), mas bom por algumas noites, especialmente se você estiver pegando uma balsa como nós. A vida dos pássaros fora do nosso quarto era incrível.

Excelente serviço e experiência de primeira linha a um ótimo preço. Muito melhor do que o Hilton ao lado. Estou feliz por ter feito a escolha de experimentar um pouco de ambos durante a minha estadia, pois a minha segunda metade da estadia em Cairns Shangri-La é muito melhor em termos de nível de conforto do quarto e atenção aos detalhes do serviço. Vista para o mar, ótima experiência em geral. Pessoal muito cortês.

Shangri-La fica ao lado do porto. O cansaço da viagem será dissipado no saguão aberto. Este hotel tem excelentes acessos para cruzeiros e saídas para cruzeiros de mergulho. Eu curti a natureza quando dei um passeio pelo hotel, e fiquei muito curada ao ver o lindo mar e céu do meu quarto. Tive que adicionar uma noite com pressa, e estava quase cheia naquele dia. Vou sair do quarto em que estava hospedado até então, mas ele gentilmente me disse que eu poderia preparar outro quarto. Eles gentilmente procuraram tours para os quais eu pudesse ir com pressa, e fiquei entusiasmado com a gentileza dos funcionários. obrigado por me ajudar. Ouvi de um residente local que o bife do restaurante anexo à beira-mar de Shangri-La é delicioso e fui comer (esqueci o nome e caminhei ao longo do mar de Shangri-La até o centro da área do restaurante) Carne australiana! Tive uma imagem um pouco dura, mas é muito gostosa! A torrada de alho que pedi juntos também é deliciosa, então quando eu for para Cairns, com certeza quero visitar Shangri-La e Steak House.

Wife like the smell. Staff very nice. Room clean. Not perfectly maintained but not run down.Huge place with a long long walk from the entrance to the pier view rooms. Not a place I'd bring a family for a holiday (not this century anyway) but good for a couple of nights especially if you're catching a ferry like we were. Bird life outside our room was amazing.

Excellent service and top tier experience at a great price. Much better than Hilton next door. I am glad I made the choice to experience a bit of both for my stay, for my second half stay in CairnsShangri-La is way better in terms of room comfort level, attention to detail service. Ocean view, great experience overall. Very courteous staff.

I am a local to Cairns and this was my first time staying at the hotel. I now can't imagine staying anywhere else! Ellen on the front desk is an absolute asset! She was so lovely and acommodating. It was my birthday weekend and she arranged a beautiful bottle of champagne for myself and my friend. Our room was spectacular! I now have my parents coming up this weekend who I have booked at the hotel as I told them they mustn't stay anywhere else. The room was so beautiful and clean and the views we had we amazing!! I can't wait to stay here again and again.

Friendly customer service. Spotlessly clean room. Smart and very well priced room service menu. The table tennis option was great for myself and daughter. The receptionist could explain more about the hotel's security measures. The complimentary bottle of wine was changed to one of my choice on request.

Restaurant manager Rachael was amazing. We had lunch and breakfast there and loved it. Food was great and well priced. The reception staff were friendly and helpful from when I first booked the room to when we checked out. And the room itself was clean friendly and fun.

Stayed in this wonderful hotel for 3 nights. Perfect location with very short walking distance to esplanade bars and restaurants. I suggest you book an exec suit with marina view as you’ll get the view to the mountains too. The room is in one word “perfect“! Clean, generous amenities, perfect service. We had breakfast included and loved it. Also had lunch in the Backyard restaurant and the seafood basket was exquisite. Highly recommend staying in this hotel.

Habitaciones fantásticas! Cuando llegamos al hotel había una convención china y estaba todo lleno. Los bajos del hotel son un pequeño centro comercial y no parece muy acertado, pero también gracias a eso, hay varios restaurantes a dos pasos...después de ver el entorno, no esperábamos semejante habitación: amplia, moderna, baño a estrenar, champagne de bienvenida...sería un 5 estrellas español, en algún lugar de playa tipo... puff, no me atrevo a hacer comparaciones... Cairns no es un pueblo de turismo de lujo, pero es el sitio idóneo de base para conocer la Coral Reef.

La estadia fue muy buena, estuvimos disfrutando de la cercania del hotel a restaurantes de la Bahia. Lo unico que no fue de nuestro agrado, es que alrededor de la pileta nadie levantaba los vasos ni las toallas. Estaba sin personal y poco cuidado la zona.

Increíble hotel, me encantó la ubicación justo a un paso del muelle. La vista desde las habitaciones es increíble. Las habitaciones son grandes y muy cómodas además están muy bien decoradas. La atención y servicio de todo el personal fuemuy bueno. En definitiva volveríamos a regresar. Es un hotel un poco caro pero vale cada centavo que pagas.
