“When we arrived to check in there was no one working the front desk. The woman who was there first had been waiting over an hour . They finally got someone from a neighboring hotel to come over and then couldn't find keys. Finally got in our room which was fine for the night. Not the cleanest and the shampoo and body wash were in unlabeled condiment bottles. The indoor pool was the only good part of our stay. One last thing I'll say is they charge $35/night for parking. It's valet only and they are short staffed so it's not worth it at all. You wait a long time to get your car when you could have parked it yourself faster. The valet also did not keep the key room or cabinet locked between gettingcars at check out. The manager was supposed to contact us but we haven't heard a thing. The bathroom wallpaper was quirky but I kind of liked that.”

“I am a loyal Marriott member, and I usually avoid giving reviews rather than a bad one. However, I want to let anyone thinking of staying here, buyer beware.
The location is good for sight seeing, but it's adjacent to the bus station. That's open all night.
I expected an older building since it's in the historic section, but I also expected Aloft style renovations. The place was filthy. Stained carpets, marked up walls, scratched doors. Not just like it was late and hadn't been cleaned that evening, it was gross.
The room was much better but missing some key items, like cream by the coffee maker, I had to go downstairs at 5am to get some.
After taking a shower in the morning, I walked around the room barefoot, like I assume is normal behavior. About 20 minutes later when I started putting shoes on I realized the bottoms of my feet were filthy from the carpet in the bedroom and tile in the bathroom.
The bright spot was the employees, the four I encountered were very pleasant and nice. The gentleman in the early morning was very helpful. The staff were worth more stars, it's a shame their work place isn't.”
