We visited this hotel a while back. Great location that’s perfect for walking to everything you’ll want to visit around the Falls area. Check in was on time and smooth and our room overlooking the falls was just what we were looking for and as advertised. It was clean and well kept. The view was amazing and really added to the experience. It gets even better at night when the area is lit up. We would definitely return to this hotel as the experience was very good. Parking was on site, and convenient and the area felt secure. If you’re going to do the Falls it’s worth the extra money to be close and have a spectacular view!

My boyfriend and I had a little getaway to Niagara for a night. Because of the location, we thought this hotel would be perfect. The hotel representatives sounded like they didn’t want to be there and acted like they didn’t want to help us. The wait for check-in was long and there were 3 reps on the floor with two on the phones. It was a Friday night, there should be more people to assist. The view of the hotel was not the same as the website. The room was very dated, and smelt old. Overall we were ultimately not happy with our room and complained to the front desk. They offered us another room but it was just as bad. In addition, we wanted to enjoy a romantic night in however, the television wasn’t even working. We called front desk and they advised the technician is off for the night. Horrible service.. we paid almost $300 for one night and nothing we got was worth it. I will not be returning, rather pay a bit more money and stay in a better hotel and get better service!

QUICK SUMMARY. Service was great. FOR $50 more, you could get a much better place in the higher quality floors. Location is excellent. But dont get scammed and put into their motel (quality and care was night and day for the same price). Also, parking is $40 plus tax a night IN-DEPTH SUMMARY. Price we had was $261 CAD + $100 CAD deposit for a motel. The motel (they slapped their name on a nearby motel and presented that as their "hotel". DO NOT GET SCAMMED BY THIS. The motel was dirty with footsteps stains everywhere, the closet was broken as well as the edges of the floors having black debris and dust everywhere. Complained to customer service and they helped us change to one in the actual hotel. Much better but things were more run down and old. For $50 more, you could get the higher floors which were 10x better. More modern and it actually look like they care about quality.

My husband and I just stayed here and had a great experience. When we first walked in Alexa at the front desk was very kind, helpful, and accommodating. Our original room that we booked was under maintenance, and Alexa presented us with many options for us and was able to get us an even better room with a marvellous view of the falls! Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was well stocked! Hotel was close to many restaurants and we were able to walk to the falls boardwalk. Will recommend our friends and family to the Oakes!

This hotel is perfectly situated for a prime view of the falls. The view alone is why I rated this hotel so highly. Tremendously spectacular views of Horseshoe Falls and the American Falls! Room itself was decent, nothing really special besides the view (which you have to pay extra for to get a high floor - strongly recommended). A jetted tub was a nice surprise. Pool was small but adequate. Visited during the off season (after Labor Day) so during peak summer season the pool could be quite crowded. About a 15 min walk to Clifton Hill, where all the family attractions are. Plenty of restaurants close by. Overall, given the location and especially the views, I would for sure recommend this place and would definitely stay again in future visits.
