My first time staying at this Westin location, and I would say my experience was incredible! Lilly at the front desk was super helpful during check-in and gave me a late check out. The room and bathroom itself were very clean and cozy. The hotel is also located close to One Vanderbilt Summit and Grand Central Station and only a 15 minute walk to Times Square. I will certainly be returning to this Westin to stay again in the future!

Would not give any star if I could. Worse experience than any 3-star hotel in the city. First they gave me a room that’s not ready, with no bedding and pillows on the table. Then they switched me to another room, only for me to find that the body wash and shampoo bottles completely empty. I was already ready to take a shower. IS THIS HOW YOU PREPARE ROOMS? DO YOU GUYS NOT CHECK THE BOTTLES? HOW CAN BOTH SHAMPOO AND BODY WASH BE OUT? HOW LONG HAVE YOU NOT REFILLED THEM? Then I called the concierge 5 times to get body wash, over the span of 30 mins. Every time they said they would bring it now. SUCH LIARS. And they stopped picking up the phone. IS THIS HOW YOU DO CUSTOMER SERVICE? Do not stay at all cost. I should have done the Grand Hyatt next door.

I'll start off by saying the employees at the front desk were wonderful. I felt appreciated as a Gold Elite member. Everyone on staff that I encountered was very friendly and helpful when needed. The room was a decent size; I had a double bed city view room. I did have a few cons, however. The tub had hair in it (which was minor.) Also, I requested a fresh/clean comforter because one of the ones in my room had a stain and I never received it. Not sure of it was maybe a dryer burn or what but I didn't want to take a chance. Both cons not a huge deal though. I'd definitely stay there again.

The rooms were comfortable but small which is typical for NYC. It would be nice to have more seating in the lobby. The food in the restaurant was good although a bit pricey. The fitness center is very good with a lot of machines. The Westin staff was very helpful.

Besides the fact that my overall experience was favorable…What can I say? From the first impression, to the warm greeting from Irina, to the concierge services by Eve...everything was seamless. I was especially impressed with the attitude, communication, and service that Irina offered during my entire stay. She remembered details about things I wanted to do during my visit, particulars about my travel plans & schedule, and really went above and beyond! The guys at the coffee bar really stood out to me too...they were incredibly conscientiousness! The entire experience left such a positive impression on me and I'll be back!!! In fact, I just recommended the location to a friend today!

Close to Manhattan. A 5 star hotel for a 3 star price. Kevin was a great host. The door men to management all great people and awesome vibes. Definitely recommend it.

The hotel it self is nice but I didn’t see any major improvement as they claim of $30 million dollar renovation. Some of the front desk people are nice but others are not polite at all they were rushing to get rid of people from asking questions. We did like the view from the 32nd floor we got partial view of the Chrysler building. ignore the decorations.

My wife and two kids recently had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff was friendly and helpful, especially our waitress at Amuse and Mina the concierge. The room was a decent size for the four of us, particularly given NY standards. We also enjoyed eating at Amuse and working out in the clean, spacious gym. We would definitely stay here again next time.

I stayed at The Westin New York Grand Central the weekend of December 16th. Upon arrival, Doris checked us in, and was a pleasure to work with. She accommodated a few of our requests, which really helped make the first day of our visit a positive experience. In addition, our room was fantastic. It was much larger than other hotels in NYC, and the view of the Chrysler building was a bonus. Additionally, it was very quiet. We toured most of the day, but never saw or heard anyone on our floor. We would have liked a mini fridge to cool bottles of water, but besides that, it was a great stay and walkable to a lot midtown attractions.

We stayed 3 nights in this recently renovated 4-star hotel last week on points (60,000 points per night), which is a great value considering other Marriott 3-star properties in this area were charging same number of points per night. Front desk agent, Deidre, was very kind to allow us to check into our room early when we arrived at 12:30pm. She even managed to find us a room with 2 separate beds (could only book one king room on points). Just be aware that there is a $25+tax/night destination charge. The room was very clean, but there was no fridge, which didn’t bother us. The heating wasn’t working, but was quickly fixed after we called express service. Overall, the hotel service was fast and responsive. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Service was cordial and food quality very good, just avoid the peak hours when the wait times can be very long. We will definitely consider staying here again.
