We stayed here on our first night in Costa Rica and were greeted by the friendliest staff, they seemed so happy to see you. The hotel serves perfectly as a quick and convenient stop over for the airport. The room was dark and quiet and spacious. The bed was also very comfy. The breakfast was also great with a lot of selection.

Very convenient and only a few minutes from the airport. The shuttle takes you to and from the hotel and come regularly for pickups. Free breakfasts were nice and we ordered dinner one night which was very good (salmon and a burger).

We stayed one night on our way out of Costa Rica and booked this hotel for proximity to rental car drop off and for the airport shuttle. It was ok. Hotel appears to only be partially renovated. There is still some tired carpet and aging bathrooms in the rooms and common areas. The air conditioner in our room sounded like an industrial lawnmower cycling on and off and kept us up a good portion of the night. Staff at breakfast was polite and friendly. Best perk was the 24 hour airport shuttle -- driver was considerate and efficient. We stayed at a competitor hotel overnight on arrival to Costa Rica, and it was a superior experience.

Seriously, I had an incredibly stressful trip getting to the hotel, but as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by an amazing front desk gal. She was helpful, patient and so kind. I had a wonderful stay and sleep, as the room was clean and the bed wonderous. Breakfast staff were so sweet and cheery. The checkout staff this morning and the shuttle bus driver, all wonderful. I would not only stay here again, but encourage you to do so as well.

Great location near the airport with complimentary shuttle and breakfast. Not too many restaurant offerings nearby (there’s a Denney’s) but the hotel restaurant was satisfactory. The staff was very nice, the rooms were a bit stark but clean and comfortable. There were flocks of small parrots in front of the hotel and thankfully they were quiet after dark. Definitely recommend this hotel for a night or two especially if the proximity to the SJO airport.

Close to airport. We got a flat tire on our rental car 20 minutes into our 4 hr drive to our hotel on night we arrived. After we changed to a spare tire, we had to come back to the rental car station to request for another car since it was going to be a 4 hr. drive. But since it was late, and there were no mechanics available at the rental car office, we were advised to stay in this hotel for the night and come back to get a different car the next morning. Very helpful and friendly staff here- very patient- it was a young lady that night but I forgot her name. Good breakfast with plenty of options. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and drinkable water. Saw shuttles to and from airport, near restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel.

Alejandro at the front desk was superb. Breakfast had lots of choices and some local cuisine as well. I was woken up at 5:22am by heavy vaping/cigar like strawberry smelling smoke, called the front desk to confirm this was a non smoking hotel but the smoke continued for 2 more hours so I had to check out early due to the smell. The front desk didn't have toothpaste, also there was a lot of hair on the towels and the bathroom walls and the floor was sticky.

Spent one night here. Comfortable and clean room. Breakfast was great. The proximity to the airport, car rental, and restaurants is a big factor. Very friendly and helpful staff. One staff member, Ms. Lee (sorry forgot her first name), went above and beyond to find a hospital for us for a medical emergency.

So pleasantly surprised at how clean and nice this airport hotel was!! Was so happy to end my travels around Costa Rica here and be so comfortable (the pillows and bed are amazing) and felt safe. Also, the free breakfast is like kind of really delicious!

Great. Very nice and helpful staff. Close to the airport, and the Shuttle runs 24/7 . Clean. And I Actually had nice healthy chicken dinner at the restaurant. It was a pleasant surprise. Also there was a nice common bar/restaurant area in the lobby. Highly recommended if you need an airport area hotel. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

No que diz respeito a Hampton Inns, este recebe 5 estrelas por causa da limpeza, café da manhã maravilhoso, simpatia dos funcionários e proximidade do aeroporto. O Denny's estava bom para um jantar rápido após uma longa tarde de viagens antes de um voo matinal. O aluguel de carros Vamos ficava a menos de 60 segundos de caminhada da porta da frente e também eram ótimos. Ótima primeira experiência na Costa Rica.

As far as Hampton Inns go, this one gets 5 stars because of the cleanliness, amazing breakfast, friendliness of staff and airport proximity. The Denny’s was fine for a quick dinner after a long afternoon of travel before an early morning flight. The Vamos car rental was less than 60 seconds walk from the front door and they were also great. Great first experience in Costa Rica.

We stayed at the Hampton by the airport for one night before flying back to the US the next morning. We figured we didn't need anything fancy, but I was surprised by how bare bones this place was for the price. They skimped so much on the lighting in the room that we had to use headlamps to find things in our suitcases! The next morning we had to get up at 4am to catch our flight. We were told the night before that we could call down for a baggage cart, as we had been in costa rica for a while and had a lot of baggage, plus kids. Morning arrived. We called down for our baggage cart at 4:30am and they said they'd bring it right up. Well, 15 minutes go by and no baggage cart. My husband runs down to the desk to get it himself. There is no one even stationed at the front desk and no baggage cart to be found. Eventually he tracks one down, then looks at the clock on the wall in horror and realizes the alarm clock in our room was off by 10 minutes! Which is a lot when you're trying catch a shuttle and get your kids a bit of breakfast by exactly 5am! Really not impressed with this place.

Suuuuuuuuper atentos! Las instalaciones inmejorables, el trato, los detalles... TODO! Tuvimos un problema ahora con el tema del covid y nos proporcionaron toda la ayuda necesaria y más, nos llevaron gratuitamente al aeropuerto, nos esperaron y nos volvieron a dejar en el hotel. Nos facilitaron impresiones gratuitas, nos dejaron lavar el carro, el desayuno muy rico también y la chica majísima. Todo de 10! Muy contentas y agradecidas. El último hotel aquí en Costa Rica y sin duda el mejor!

Hotel muito perto (5-10 min) do aeroporto principal. E para isso contam com um shutle que funciona sem parar, sempre que você precisar. É bem em frente às empresas Rent-A-Car.Também em frente ao hotel fica um restaurante da rede Danny's, onde se come comida típica americana / sul-americana a preços decentes. Omeletes com panquecas enormes, hambúrgueres, quesadillas, milkshakes ... bem, clássico americano.Os hóspedes do hotel são super simpáticos e amigáveis. Fiquei duas vezes, tanto na chegada quanto na saída, e em todas as vezes era a mesma coisa.Quartos espaçosos, camas enormes e confortáveis, bons travesseiros, limpeza. Café da manhã ok. Zona sossegada. Boa conexão de rede Wifi.

Es una buena opción de hotel si sólo vas de paso y no te quieres meter en San José. Está al lado del aeropuerto y tienen shuttles gratuitos cada poco tiempo que te llevan del aeropuerto al hotel y viceversa. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y la atención es muy buena (nos guardaron las maletas dos días mientras visitábamos Tortuguero). El precio es medio-alto.

Você não pode dormir com o barulho nos corredores à noite. e quando você desce para tomar o café da manhã, a cozinheira que serve ovos e linguiças fala mal de você. insistente e nunca por favor ou obrigado. Supostamente porque abaixo a tampa bucal depois de comer e volto para me servir um pouco mais ... quando em teoria não se pode comer com a tampa bucal. e estava com ele. mas o mesmo com seu jeito autoritário. o hotel e as instalações muito boas. Dói que quando você chega ao hotel eles não te informam de nada.

no se puede dormir de ruidos en lospasillos por las noches. y al bajar a desayunar la cocinera que te sirve huevos y salchichas te habla mal. prepotente y jamas por favor o gracias. supuestamente por qué me baje el cubre bocas luego de comer y regresar a servirme un poco mas... cuando en teoría uno no puede comer con cubre bocas. y lo tenia puesto.pero igual con su modo autoritario. el hotel y las instalaciones muy buenas. lastima que al llegar al hotel no te informan de nada.

Great price, 5 minutes for shuttle from the airport and an excellent hot breakfast! Also situated next to six different discount rental car affliates... Her flight got canceled, so we had to lay over. We booked on booking.com for a king size room, which included breakfast. The entire facility is extremely clean and the bed was really comfortable.

I wish I could comment on the amenities in the room, but it was too dark to see anything. I’m joking, but it was seriously too dark in the room. The only good lighting was in the entrance to the room and in the bathroom. No fan in the bathroom, so it gets stuffy in there. Better lighting by day with the blind open. The staff are really kind and helpful. A lot of guests have no masks on and we’re still battling covid. The beds were comfortable, but we didn’t like the pillows (feathers are awful for asthma), so I had to use my neck pillow from the airplane. There are some nice decorations on the walls and more well lit areas in the lobby to hang out in (but with masks on). The best part for me was the amazing breakfast. The vegetables were absolutely cooked perfectly, there were scrambled eggs and boiled eggs, lots of fresh fruit, coffee, tea, and this juice that I guessed was possibly cactus. It was so good! My friend said the sausage was too salty. Plenty of parking here and right next to car rentals and restaurants. The shampoos were too small for 3 people, but they smelled nice.

I enjoyed my stay. Everyone in reception is helpful, great proximity to the airport appreciated it especially after a long flight. The restaurant is a let down, but you're close enough to other places for food.

We stayed one night before our early flight back to the US.It is very convenient since it is close to the airport and there is a free shuttle that runs every 10 min.We rented our car from Vamos and it is in the same area.We dropped the car and walked to the hotel.Our room was nice and the hotel is new looking.We had dinner at the hotel since it is convenient.Our entrees were mediocre.We will stay here again if we are leaving from San Jose airport.

Hamptons in was a nice spot to stay. Close to the airport and close to Denny’s which I love. They also have a casino across the street. I lost my money but I still have fun. Did I mention there next to Denny’s. They also have a free shuttle that will take you to get a rental car or take you to the airport at any time. Manuel was our driver, he spoke very good English and complimented me on my shoes.
