“DENIED A DOCTOR: 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND Review of Hyatt Place Dubai Al Rigga Pending review This is definitely not a fiery review aimed at the Government of Dubai but rather, Hyatt Place Dubai Al Rigga.Writing here is a former Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing staff who unfortunately, caught COVID-19 during the trip. What made the experience and stay at this hotel an atrocious one was the fact that guest office staff are incompetent at the English Language, having come from different parts of India, Bangladesh and all, and seem to have real issues understanding basic UK-level English on par with at least a Secondary Two education. Simple words like "rashes" and "medicine" they do not seem to understand which adds to the frustration.Some facts about me: I am Moderna Vaccinated and even received a booster before visiting UAE.Anyways, I was treated on par with a criminal since getting my diagnosis and even denied the assistance of a medical doctor to visit me on 3rd, 4th and even 5th January 2022 at this hotel. According to the reception, I am not to be seen by a doctor and only to go to the hospital because I tested positive for the coronovirus. I have to stress that on 3rd January, I suffered a bout of bad urticaria (hives) as this has long been an underlying medical condition; requested Guest Reception to call for a doctor as I was having difficulties breathing due to the rash - NOT COVID-19 - and what further disgusted me was the fact that I had to deal with service staff who even served me RAW (UNCOOKED) vegetables and expected me to consume them, resulting in diarrhea.Rectification: I called the Consulate General of my home country to launch complaints and even threatened to put this destination I once worked for on bad press. I even contacted some key media publications to share my concerns about this. Consulate had to push the hotel accommodation to respond to my request and call for a doctor to attend to me because what the hotel has done is a complete violation of human rights and the right for a sick guest to even receive medical care while in isolation.”
