“We had room 11, in the back part of the old property. It seemed a little strange to be in a room directly next to a back eating area, but it was not a problem at all. It was a great spacious comfortable room with lots of character. The staff were all incredibly friendly. We had medication for my girlfriend that needs to stay refrigerated, they put it in the kitchen fridge no problem. We checked out and returned for lunch for the steak pie. It was so good, I cut in to it and saw god. It was definitely, and always will be worth the made-to-order wait time. I would absolutely come back for room 11, and stay here again and again!”

“Booked a table at the restaurant for my partners Birthday, was a little worried it was outside, but with the outdoor heaters and the gazebo we were toasty warm. The food was incredible, if you are going to try anything on the menu order the Guy Fawkes pie, perfection in pastry. Service was fantastic, atmosphere was busy but not loud. If you are near York Minster pop in for a pint and something to eat.”
