“Absolutely horrible people, the owners met me at reception when I was trying to rent a room showing them the price shown on google which was $114 a night, the mentally unstable man then started aggressively having a go at me and ushering me out the door, very poor customer service. Was able to to pay what they were asking which was $159 a night which in fact is fairly high compared to every where else for what they are offering. Very unimpressed and I hope they pick their act up, that is not how you treat people! Especially potential customers.”

“Pretty ordinary experience..
I didn’t actually stay here in the end, but I accidentally booked the wrong date for my accommodation (totally my fault) and had booked in 2 nights before I was due to stay.
I realised on the drive up and called the Inn advising them of what had occurred and the owner Rhonda understood what had occurred and advised they would prepare the room
For the night I intended to stay.
I didn’t actually discuss the payment situation. But upon arriving I spoke with her husband who was extremely rude. I asked if it was possible that I could get a transfer of my booked dates or discounted rate because I didn’t actually stay.
He was adamant that my contract was with the booking agency and they had no responsibility to me as far as a discount or transfer was concerned. (I understood that they didn’t have any legal duty to provide me assistance).
So I basically I said ok I guess I’ll go somewhere cheaper (due to the fact that I was on a work trip and my employer would be upset if I paid the expensive $175 for the night again)…
Which he then tried to tell me that he could charge me for another night because supposedly my call earlier explaining the situation was interpreted as another booking!
Eventually he said he would cancel that reservation without charging me, trying to imply he was doing a nice favour.
What I can’t wrap my head around I suppose is that. 1. The inn was very quiet with barely any guests. 2. It is a smallish country town and I was willing to pay again at a discounted
rate for no extra work for them. 3. I probably would have given a good review for their understanding of my situation.
As it turns out the owners were not interested in helping in any way and were determined to make like difficult for me rather than earn themselves some good reviews and do a nice favour.
As mentioned they were within their rights… just wasn’t good moral or business acumen..”
