“Wake up, check the surf from your balcony, enjoy breakfast under the banyan tree right on Waikiki beach. Grab a board out front and have a surf.
Yes it's old. Rooms are small. The area is crowded. It was built with the nicer rooms facing the mountain side because customers originally arrived by boat and wanted the island view instead of staring at the ocean after months on a ship. If you want a regular hotel room go stay at the Hampton Inn. If you want modern luxury, the four seasons resorts in Hawaii are wonderful. If you appreciate the history and location of this place it's hard to beat.”

“Stayed here for 5 days and had wonderful time. Our room got upgraded to a higher floor in the tower and the room was nice, but the view was amazing. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel is beautiful and has a lot of character from the Victorian era. Pool is not that nice, but the beach chairs were available for booking and we enjoyed our time just chilling on the beach. Bar staff were friendly and made great drinks and the food was also very good. Would definitely stay here again.”
