“bela estrutura no centro de Reykjavik e os hóspedes que chegam de carro pode estacionar em frente à taxa de entrada do hotel. A equipe é preparada e atenciosa a cada solicitação, colocando o hóspede à vontade. Os quartos são projetados em estilo moderno, mantendo uma sensação de casa. A área da biblioteca é perfeita para relaxar no final do dia. Suíte ampla e confortável, café da manhã simplesmente perfeito.”

“Very noisy hotel with paper thin walls.
I have recordings of the walls literally shaking and vibrating due to unbearable noise from a bar right below our room. Hotel staff has not shown any kind of support and seemed to protect the owners of the bar that currently due to the pandemic wasn’t allowed to open after 11pm - my recordings have been made between midnight and 3:30am! This wasn’t an isolated case. It has happened on multiple nights and we’ve been reassured by hotel staff time and again that it was just “teenagers in the street”. Only when we told the receptionist that we will have to call the police to look into it, he suddenly remembered that there was a bar, and five minutes later, the noise had stopped.
I don’t know what is going on in this hotel but I’ve spoken to multiple other guests who complained about the same things:
- unbearable noise
- rooms not being cleaned daily
- and rude staff (“if you want it to be cleaned daily you should’ve told us”)
This is a 4 star hotel that is not the cheapest in town. I cannot believe the lack of service we have met there.
On top of it all, we had to chase the staff for a booking receipt because they did not seem to be on track of things. In fact, they kept losing our booking multiple times. We had to change our key cards several times as they suddenly stopped working, and we were asked to move hotel rooms twice because the booking dates in the system did not match our booking.
